Wow, slack me. Sorry for taking forever.

@Keith, you’re probably there by now, and it’s been a while since I started doing heroics, but thankfully I have the set I walked into heroics with… My sunwell raiding gear Somewhere around 1300SP, but it was hurting. I’d say 1.5k would be more comfortable.

I think that would be true, if you didn’t get the one that also gives int to spellpower, that int to spellpower (forget it’s name, it’s above dreamstate somewhere…lunar guidance?) definitely offsets the one point -not- in imp. ToL. In a related note I think I changed some of the wrath points used in this dreamstate spec to brambles, mostly to help the tank threat cause they like their thorns, and my survivability (stun on barkskin = ee run away!)

And I think I started heroics with like 1300 +sp but I’m also a PvE discipline priest, I tend to add 100-200 more spellpower for other classes so I’d recommend 1500 but, I’m also anal about making sure I stay enchanted and things.

This is excellent, very well done and you make it seem easy.
I just wanted to add, for those of us that have computers that can’t handle all the addons you are mentioning, or just for those that have addonphobia, I have perfected my druid healing using only Grid, Decursive and Bartender. (Of course, DBM and Omen too.) But, my computer couldn’t handle all that at once and just healing with those three has been good. I’m usually first or second on the Naxx healing meter, within decimals of a number from our other tree, who uses tons of addons.
Just wanted to say it can be done without everything, if you are not in a situation with your computer where you can use all those you listed.

I personally tried this build out(after looking into it during BC (even trying it back then too) and liked it for the most part, however found one thing to be severely lacking. Without Gift of the Earthmother, my usual hotting spree was significantly slowed. Being a druid that usually relies on HoT’s (and does quite nicely with them at that), I found it infuriating to have to wait that extra fraction of a second more for GCD to roll around.
I didn’t overly miss Wild Growth, ah it has its moments, but can be lived without, since nerf anyways.
All in all I think the success of DS resto comes down to your personal healing style. It will likely cramp the style of HoTers, though if you usually use Cast time heals, it works out quite nicely.

if you like pitbull then I assume you are following the development of pitbull 4 which is far more cpu and memory efficient than pitbull3.

it’s also far easier to setup.

since you’re using class-coloured health bars, do you really need to add clutter by having text that tells you this also?

If you’re using grid for raids & parties….then turn off pitbulls party frames…its more cpu cycles you don’t need. specially since you’re a healer.

I also loved fubar but now i love dockingstation & libDataBroker even more.
I highly recomend getting rid of fubar and installing dockingstation instead.

the plugins for libDataBroker type bars such as dockingstation are called brokers….and are far more efficient than their fu counterparts. i garuntee you there is a broker version for any fu plugin you have used.

fubar isnt maintained anymore, its bloated and not good for your cpu therefore not good for your frames-per-second peformance.

Do you really need this ?
LibPeriodicTable is quite a drain on the cpu for any addon that uses it.

I find it more efficient to run bagnon and have all mybags shown as one bag…

also, why do you need to see your keyring? any action in the game world that requires you to use them doesnt require you to open your keyring bag to use them.

but in any case, bagnon has a keyring frame.

I used to love this too ,specially back when shadowFiend benefitted from any attack power stats the priest had when you let it loose. I had a script for when that happend to equip a attackpower laden staff. ended up being like innervate.

acp : love this because you can setup profiles that dictate which addons are on for a particular profile. I have one for questing, raid & non raid.

OK, so as a 79, I haven’ even picked up WG yet, because I found Gift of the Earth Mother to be a better fit – I’d rather be able to stack my HoTs faster than unleash WG now and again. As such, I’m 11/0/59. My major questions are: how are your bonus heals affected without all the points in Improved ToL? , and isn’t your rotation pretty much going to be exactly the same, with lower heals and more mana regen?

Finally, in an unrelated topic, what kind of bonus heals should I be looking for in ToL to enter Heroics?
